DETECT PRO FUND: Final Selection – Day 2, Match 1
The second day of the final selection for the Detect Pro Fund, in partnership with the PSG Pro Academy Senegal, delivered an exciting clash between the Red Team and the Blue Team on Sunday, May 28, 2023. From 8:58 AM, spectators witnessed a promising start from the Blues, but the Reds quickly responded.
Player number 5 provided a decisive pass to number 18, who unfortunately failed to control the ball inside the penalty box. The Blues capitalized on this missed opportunity to take the lead. Goba Paul (#27) was perfectly played through and managed to beat the opposing goalkeeper with a clinical finish at the near post in the 7th minute.
The Blues then doubled their lead with a second goal. After a brilliant triangular passing play, Goba Paul was once again at the end of a well-executed team move, sealing a 2-0 victory.
This second day of the final selection highlighted the technical quality and determination of the Red Team. Their dominance on the pitch was undeniable, as they efficiently converted their chances despite the Blue Team’s efforts to respond.
