The final match of the second day of the Detect Pro Fund, in partnership with PSG Pro Academy Senegal, was a true football spectacle. After a lunch break, the top 28 players selected from the morning matches faced off starting at 1:30 PM on May 28, 2019. The clash between the Blue Team and the Red Team lived up to expectations.
From the very first whistle, it was clear that both teams were determined to win. The match was evenly balanced, with quick plays and precise passing exchanges. Among the standout individual performances, Adou Emmanuel, a midfielder for the Blue Team, caught everyone’s attention with his impressive technical skills.
However, it was the Red Team that won a penalty when Kakou Benianssou was fouled inside the penalty area, giving his team a great opportunity. Kacou Emmanuel stepped up to take the shot, but goalkeeper Ouédraodo Alexandre made a spectacular save, diving in the right direction to deny the Reds.
Undeterred, the Reds quickly regained momentum. Kacou Emmanuel managed to beat an opponent, and his cross-shot deflected off his teammate Traoré Issiaka before finding the back of the net in the 25th minute. In the second half, Issiaka scored again, extending the Reds’ lead to 2-0.
The Blues, however, showed their resilience by reducing the deficit toward the end of the match. Despite their best efforts, the final score remained 2-1 in favor of the Reds.
This match proved to be a true test for these young talents and showcased their potential. The observers present were highly impressed by the level of play and the competitiveness demonstrated by the players.
